What is a voice lesson like?
It’s fun and informative. No judgement. Only positive guidance and kind words. Lots of encouragement and a full understanding of vulnerability. The focus is on progress , not perfection, in a relaxed and happy environment.
Do I need to read music to enroll in lessons?
You do not need to be able to read music. We mainly work with backing tracks in singing lessons. If you choose basic music theory studies within voice lessons the option to sight read sheet music can be a useful skill.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes, at least 24 hours to cancel and reschedule. Please see policy page for details, you will be given policy outline/paperwork before enrolling.
Do I need to prepare for each lesson? Warm up your voice prior to lesson, I will give you audio mp3 of warmups. I do not take your lesson time for warmups unless you specifically ask, we have a limited time and I am respectful of my client's time and money. Hydrate. Be on time. Notebook. Test equipment before session if online lessons.
When can I start?
We pick a day and time that works for you and we can start right away. I schedule everything around your reserved standing appointment, these are not drop-in lessons. If there is a waiting list all incoming requests will be notified before scheduling and offering payment.
Can I just take one lesson?
Yes, You can book one session if you just need guidance with something specific or a vocal analysis or audition prep. I can always make time for the occasional sessions in addition to regular client's lessons. Most clients enroll in weekly lessons. Bi-weekly lessons are also available.
Can I buy a Gift Card for services for someone?
Yes, reach out via email and you can purchase an eGift card.
Can anyone learn to sing?
Yes, sometimes those singers who don’t feel confident with their voice need strengthening exercises to help with pitch. Singing is a skill and absolutely can be learned and improved upon.
